Steve and Rob were excellent instructors, thorough and patient, supporting me through my test which I passed today. Not only that but they taught me to ride properly not just to get through the test days. Flexibility was key for me and Steve put in a couple of 6am starts so I could fit this in around work. Highly recommended. Thank you. Graham...

Birmingham Bike Show 2014

Left very early for a day at the Birmingham Bike show. The main theme of the show this year appeared to be Caff Racer style bikes which is quite a move away from previous years which focused on sports bikes. Naked bikes were in, faired bikes appeared to be out, this was further evidenced by the enormous size of the triumph stand when compared to other main brands, but then I think I’m biased :-). There weren’t many independent traders there but we did bump into Krazy Horse from Bury St Edmunds, home of the Norton Caff Racer. The live shows were entertaining, with the smell of engine oil and petrol filling the arena, surprisingly more than the smell of Chips and Bovril. Wonderful time chatting with new friends, especially Henry Cole! [Show...

Wales Classic Racing Trip 2014

A weekend away in June to sunny wales, yes you heard correctly, very sunny wales to watch the classic race team from Harwich Motorcycle Club at Anglsea race track. The ride was broken into stages, the first was to ride quickly from Colchester to Stafford for the first overnight stay. The second day gave us time to ride from Stafford with the aim of arriving in Anglsea Friday evening. We set off through beautiful countryside to get to the top of Horseshoe Pass for breakfast at the Ponderosa Cafe, this has got to be the best breakfast I have ever had, in the sun on the top of the world with good friends, magic. The ride down the other side was stunning, through the single track steep twisting roads with the smell of summer in the air. Our next aim was to find a pub on the beach one of the riders remembered from childhood holidays, the Ty Coch Inn at Porthdinllaen, the only way to get there was a walk along the beach in all our motorcycle gear, a little hot in the sun, not my first choice for walking clothing but when we arrive at  ‘the pub on the beach’ it was all worth it. The photographs of the approach to the beach, the walk along and the view from our pub table speak volumes, it was breathtaking. Our journey resumed to the race track where we set up camp on the edge of the track for the weekend of racing. The weather throughout was lovely, the track was set on the edge of the island over...
